2016年法國馬賽影展國際競賽(Festival International de cinema de Marseille)唯一入圍東亞片、由日本導演伊藤丈紘(Takehiro Ito)執導、台灣攝影師馬君馳擔綱主演的台日合拍片「離開彼地」(Out There)，7日(周六)將於紐約動態影像博物館(Museum of the Moving Image，簡稱MoMI)進行美國首映。 　　「離開彼地」取景於東京和台北，描述在台灣和日本這兩塊土地生活的人們，在過去和現在的時間交會中所產生的可能性和喪失感；融合紀錄片與劇情片獨特的影像敘事受到紐約動態影像博物館首席策展人David Schwartz青睞，特別選入該館2017年的First Look影展做美國首映。 　　於6日至16日舉辦的First Look影展側重放映國際影壇具原創電影語彙，包含錄像創作、實驗性質等勇於嘗試各種藝術形式的新電影，為該館最重要的年度電影專題節目之一；導演伊藤丈紘、演員馬君馳當日並將出席「離開彼地」映後座談，與觀眾分享主角親身經歷的台灣、日本與美國經驗。 　　馬君馳為台灣新竹人，畢業於東京綜合攝影學校，自2013年與獨立電影導演伊藤丈紘共同策畫、編劇劇情長片「離開彼地」並擔任演員。他在本片飾演旅居日本的台灣演員，遊走於台北與東京街頭，尋找家的認同與人的存在感，並在愛上日本女孩後，陷入返回故鄉台灣與居留東京之間的兩難。本片除入圍法國馬賽影展，另也曾入圍義大利都靈影展(Torino International Film Festival)。

Identical twin brothers, separated for 40 years, live unaware of each other until fate intervenes, forcing them to confront a long-hidden truth. For this project, each of the Polish brothers will write and direct one half of the movie without one knowing anything about the other's work, resulting in two separate storylines that will be interwoven into a single feature-length film. This approach will enable each brother to explore the nature of the twin relationship from their own unique perspective without being influenced or constrained by the other's vision.

"Done To" (sometimes called "It Is, Done To") consists of simple camera frames which are silent and/or unconnected to a complex soundtrack running parellel to the images. There are brief instances where image and sound meet; however, the majority of the images are overtaken by at times symphonic, at times cacophonous soundtracks which displace the normal filmic viewing experience.

Written by the director himself, the story revolves around an “absent” hero: an astronaut lost in the emptiness of space. His absence is spoken about indirectly here, from planet Earth. He was the nation’s son, loved and admired by all. But he’s primarily always on the mind of his little sister Elsa, who’s the real “fully present” heroine in this story. Elsa has lived her life and her childhood by proxy, sustaining herself off the dreams and ambitions of her older brother and hero. He was her point of reference and her daily inspiration. While he floats around, somewhere up there, in the ether, Elsa also drifts, right here on Earth…

Flung together at a New Year’s Eve party, Minnie (Cookson) and Quinn (Laviscount) quickly realize they share a connection- they were born on New Year’s Day of the same year, in the same London hospital, one minute apart.
